Florida Tech Schools Receive $40,000 in Grants from Haas

Three Florida Based schools received a combined $40,000 in grants from the Gene Haas Foundation, which were presented recently by representatives of the Haas Factory Outlet Florida, based in Tampa.

The schools receiving the donations included Palm Beach State College in Lake Worth, Immokalee Technical College in Immokalee and Pinellas Technical college in Clearwater.

Gus Lozana, Haas Factory Outlet Sales Engineer presented Palm Beach State College Foundation with a $20,000 grant from the Gene Haas Foundation for scholarships that will go to students in the college's Machining T . . .

Valencia’s new Advanced Manufacturing Training Center officially opened its doors today with a grand opening ceremony. Osceola County leaders and industry representatives joined Valencia officials in launching the new facility, which will train workers for high-tech manufacturing jobs while helping employers secure a critical pipeline of skilled labor.

Students at the new center will learn hands-on skills that are heavily in demand in Florida. The 12-week to 6-month-long training programs lead to industry certifications in Computer Numerical Control (CNC) machining, Mechatronics, MSSC . . .
