The students joined Karl Almqvist, Bill Craven, John Dotday, Tom Funke, JoAnn Mitchell, Akio Shirawa and Lito Trasmonte for an introduction to thread whirling and its impact on production of parts for the medical industry, an overview of CAM in various programs with emphasis on engineering design, an introduction to Sandvik Coromant and its recycling program as well as a question and answer session to cover general machining and career related questions.
